        I well share some intellegence with you to prove why Manning is an idiot. This fool just said that Lesbians are not homosexuals because they can not penitrate each other. I almost feel out of my seat laughing at the stupidity of that statement alone. So let me share with you the webster dictionary definition of the word “homosexuality”

        A person who prefers emotional and sexual relations with the member of the same gender.

        This man is serious mentally ill and will say whatever he can to try to bring down President Obama. I bet you if Obama went on TV and said Sara Manning is a great educator Pastor Manning would divorce her. lol

          i agree that the Pastor does not speak accurately when he says lesbians are not homosexual – clearly lesbians are homosexuals and they too will fall under the same condemnation as any other unrepentant fornicator on the Day of Judgment.

          sodomite is the best term – it covers homosexual and heterosexual contact involving ….. well, just look it up.

          This ‘misspeak’ by the pastor does not alter the ultimate truth of his message which is that the Creator deemed such behavior abominable – sodomites have the right to choose but should not expect true worshippers of the Most High God to validate that choice.

          I not so sure Pastor Manning isn’t correct in his understanding and explanation. I don’t look to the dictionary to understand the word of God. I look to the scriptures themselves and to God’s Holy Spirit to give wisdom and understanding. Sinful mankind has always tried to change the scriptures into an ungodly interpretation to support sinful behavior or discredit the validity of the truth. Nothing new about that, so I looked up the verse(s) Dr. Manning was referring…Leviticus 18 does not mention a woman having sex with a woman. It definitely does mention a woman is not to have sex with an animal and calls it perversion. Romans 1:26-27 mentions both a man and a woman that exchanges natural relations for unnatural ones are those the God has given over to their own sinful desires.
          The terms homosexual and lesbian are man created words and definitions, where as the Bible is the word of God. Neither word is used in the Bible, but the Bible clearly makes more of the issue concerning the man with a man. Twice God condemns a man with a man, giving more specific warning to a man. God does address a woman exchanging natural relations with a man for unnatural ones. Therefore, I am lead to believe the Bible is making a difference to the sexual act that a man can perform from that what a woman can do. And in reality, it is true. A man can penetrate another human being with his genitals but a woman cannot. A woman only receives but does not penetrate with her sex organ. Don’t misunderstand, both are sin if they are with the same sex, but I believe there is a difference. Dr. Manning understands this difference is made in the Bible and is labeling homosexuality as a man lying with another man. To include woman are able to commit the same acts as a man overlooks the obvious differences in actual physical design.
          Again, I am not saying that a woman with a woman is not a grievous sin against God’s plan for creation and His word, I am trying to draw the distinction between what mankind wants to label as the same. Therefore, I would agree with Dr. Manning in his use of homosexual is definitely directed at a man, but not necessarily at a woman. Matter of fact, why was it necessary for a new word to be used to refer to a woman with another woman, if homosexual could be used to describe both?

    The biblical teachings regarding homosexuality have some very practical value. First, treating the Bibile as a historical document, we see that the Isrealites found a way to reduce disease and allow their race to thrive by reducing the randomness in sexual relationships. Less disease meant they had a stronger people and stronger army — giving them an evolutionary advantage over the other races around them. Second, their record of God’s charge to them to multiply (to be un-numbered as the sands of the earth) assured them that the profits of their labors went into captial investment to grow their nation — not consumed and squandered. Third, the Bible documents an openly gay and sexually open race in the cities of Soddom and Gomorrah. For some reason, without the influence of family-style procreation, an entire race developed an ethic towards their fellow man — an ethic that had little compassion or respect for even children. The rights over even one’s one body did not belong to the individual. The point perhsps was that the normalization of use of the sexual function of the body for non=procreative purposes introduced nation-debilitating disease, squandering of a nation’s capital wealth, reduction in population, and normalization of ethics contrary to supporting one another. So, in one humble opinion — it is not jsut that God said it is wrong — it is a practical teaching of the consequences of allowing us to pollute ourselves as a nation. The consequences are natural and — as an immutable force of nature — will eventually come, regardless of our efforts to slow down its happening.

I stole it back to it’s original use about 2 years ago and never use it in it’s modern day accepted context. However, I do call perversion what it is. I do call Homosexuals what they are. I do call Lesbians what they are. I do call their acts what they are. I do not however call them GAY because I do not believe they are and I think the word GAY softens the sin awareness too much. Call it what it is. Call them what they are.

    How can you brush off the fact that Gays cannot reproduce? If God intended this to be normal, two of the same sex wouldn’t have any problem creating life. Did you know certain species of fish and frogs can change their sexual orientation in order to reproduce. So if you figure something as simple as a fish or frog can do this, then man would have at least been equipped with the same function in order to survive. Strip away all the advancements in technology today and ask yourself this, how would the human race continue to live if we only went with the same sex?

    And if you really put your trust in God then you would ask him to touch and help you overcome the “burden” as you like to call it. Because last I check He can move mountains in your life. Most people don’t really know what it is to put 100% absolute trust in the Lord with out so much as a shred of doubt lingering anywhere in their hearts and mind.
