Gaddafi supporters and apologists and Obama lovers/ and those who excuse Obama are two sides of the same coin. Whether Obama’s choice to back UK and France in removing Gaddafi were legal/moral/in US interests (or not) does not excuse Gaddafi’s crimes…..anyone who tries to say he wasn’t a brutal killer is drinking the bottled judgement. Sure he was no Hitler, not a Saddam Hussein, and yes….he did not kill on the level of Assad al-Syria…but his system of detentions and torture for anyone accused of opposing the Libyan regime are not fantasy.

And sure, I recognize why those who wish to see the USA fail economically and be destroyed as a world power might find Gaddafi inspiring for his work to bring about an African currency based on gold….but to ignore his brutality to his people is to ignore the reality of his 40 year rule.
