The Gettysburg Project
The Battle of Gettysburg was one of the costliest battles of the Civil War. Yet, with all the deaths it incurrred (more than 51,000 Union and Confederate soldiers), the Negro still is not free.
The Honorable James David Manning outlines the pain he experienced in 1969 when he saw the plight of his fallen brothers. He asked God to give him the power to help his brothers that were unemployed, on drugs, and destroying themselves. He wanted the power to help his brothers who were in deep trouble.
The Gettysburg Project requires a painful examination of the plight of the Negro, his desire to offset that pain through the changing of his name from Colored to Negro to Black and now African American, and finally God's answer with the issuance of the decreed name change - ATLAH.
